Are you as excited as I am for Flash Friday?
Flash is my favorite genre to write, so this is my favorite day of the week! (nothing to do with it being Friday, promise.)
Today, I am anticipating Spring Break more than ever. Finals will be over, and I will step out of the in-between space I was occupying this week. SO! Spring break Friday mood, anyone? I’m thinking ahead, so for today’s prompt let’s play with the conditional. The imagined. The “what if?”
Future
Think of something you would like to do for spring break, or imagine someone doing for spring break (remember flash can be fiction or nonfiction). Is it visiting family? Holing up in their apartment and sleeping for a week? Going somewhere tropical? Going on a skiing trip?
Using this imagined spring break, write a short piece (limit yourself to less than 1000 words) using the future tense, or language markers like “I imagine” or “I wish” that place this spring break in the future.
