Hullo fabulous folks!
Grab a pen and a notebook! To celebrate the resuscitation of this blog, Prompt #46 is going to be all about rebirth, rejuvenation, and recovery. When was the last time you sat down and thought about something you overcame in life—college application statements don’t count! It’s time to do a little appreciation of you.
No need to set a timer for this one, though of course you can if you like. Fifteen minutes is generally what I find good.
Dear Yesterday…
Start out just like that! “Dear Yesterday,” If you are writing a poem, or want to experiement with something more lyrical, try starting every line, stanza, or beat with, “Dear Yesterday.” Get nostalgic, get syrupy, get bittersweet.
Write an ode to the you that got up after only two hours of sleep, or the you that went on a walk just because, or the you that was brave enough to try something new.
