Today, we will err on the silly side of the surreal and strange. 

Have you ever noticed that many fables have a sort of rhythm to them? They roll and undulate–perfect for speaking out loud. One tool that can create that effect is repeating similar sounds. Like “silly side of surreal and strange” has an abundance of consonance and alliteration.

Pick a tool, such as consonance, assonance, or alliteration, and write a little fable using that tool to create rhythm.
