If you are familiar with D&D, today’s prompt is to write a character background as if you are about to start a campaign.

If you are unfamiliar with the game of D&D, today’s prompt is to write a character background for a fantasy world. The challenge here is to treat everything in the background as the assumed normal for this character. Dragons? If they aren’t mythological in this world, there’s no reason for them to be unusual in this character’s background. 

For both situations — it is very easy to go overboard. Challenge yourself to keep it short!
